Rust Server Not Showing Up In The Server List
At Paradise Hosting all Rust servers are seamlessly integrated into the Rust server list, making them visible to everyone. Should you find your server absent from these lists, it could be due to several common issues.
Encountering visibility issues with your Rust server can often be resolved by:
Server Updates: Keeping your Rust server current is critical. Our infrastructure ensures automatic updates with each server restart.
Oxide Updates: For servers utilizing Oxide, ensure it's updated alongside Rust updates. Oxide updates are usually available shortly after Rust updates.
Mod/Plugin Updates: Ensure any installed mods or plugins are up to date. Outdated mods/plugins can prevent server visibility.
Server Name Optimization: A lengthy server name or one with special characters might hinder visibility. Opt for a shorter, character-restricted name to improve listing chances.
Patience: Sometimes, server visibility takes a few minutes due to the volume of servers loading simultaneously.
If these steps don't yield results, try adding your server to your Steam favorites:
In Steam, navigate to View > Servers.
In the Servers window, select the favorites tab.
Choose Add a server, input your Server IP, and click Add to favorites.
In Rust, refresh your favorites list to see if your server appears.
Remember, Rust's server display is limited to 5000 servers, prioritizing those with lower ping, which might affect the visibility of your server. Consider relocating your server closer to your region using our server location change guide for enhanced visibility.
Direct server access remains a viable alternative if visibility issues persist. For further support, including requesting a new Rust IP for your server, our support tickets are open to assist with any concerns or queries.
